The Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) is the most famous of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy.
The present stone bridge, a single span designed by Antonio da Ponte, was finally completed in 1591. It looks very similar to the wooden predecessor that occupied the space for nearly 60 years. The Ponte di Rialto is also the oldest of the four major bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice.
